The Leather Parka — A Build No Outdoor Brand Offers

Apart from polyester, nylon and cotton shells, we offer leather parka jacket options in cowhide, goatskin and sheepskin. All leather parkas made in our leather workshop are designed to keep you warm, structured and lasting for years — a build no standard outdoor brand offers.

Much like custom bomber jackets or custom trench coats, a custom parka lets you unveil your unique personality through a jacket made for how you actually live in cold weather. Made-to-order means your shell and insulation are built for your specific region and activities — not a national average designed for the broadest range of customers.

Whether you need warmth for skiing, hiking, or daily commuting, a custom winter parka wins the race against off-the-rack pieces. Whether you need custom team parkas for a unified look or specific features like waterproofing for outdoor activities, customization ensures your parka meets your exact demands

Why Order a Custom Parka Jacket

At Leather Skin Shop, we follow a thorough bespoke process for all types of custom made leather jackets. A custom parka is meant for the winter season, and wearing it as such is the difference between a good and great jacket. Every jacket is designed around how you live in cold weather, made by the same workshop.

You select the fit and features that matter most — pocket placement, hood style, sleeve length — all confirmed on a mockup before we cut the first piece of fabric. You can see the made-to-order parka before it is made. After all, it is the individuality that makes custom parka jackets so special. Nothing goes into production before you approve it.

Design Consultation

Right after you place your custom order, share your climate, style, size, and any artwork or logo (JPG, PNG, PDF or AI) along with any fit or function requirements. Our adept design consultants assist you in picking the most suitable material, features, style and color for your custom parka. A dedicated consultant returns a quote and a digital mockup for your approval — you see the made-to-order parka before anything is cut.

Fabrics Options

Several shell materials are available depending on your climate and intended use. Leather — cowhide, goatskin or sheepskin — provides structure and durability ideal for dry, cold conditions. For wet winters, Gore-Tex or DWR-treated nylon handles rain and heavy snow. Polyester and nylon offer great value for day-to-day wear. Down insulation provides the most warmth per pound in cold, dry climates. For damp or snowy conditions, synthetic options like Thinsulate or Primaloft retain heat even when wet.

Lining Options

Pick fleece or cotton lining for mildly cold weather, or nylon, polyester and wool lining for a highly insulated jacket. A removable lining gives your custom parka the flexibility to work across mild to harshly cold conditions — one jacket for the full season. Make sure you pair the right insulation material with your chosen shell and intended climate.

Design Details

You can get a unique parka in any color, print or leather finish. Choose the type of hood and fur trimming you prefer. Functional pocket placement, front fastening — zipped or buttoned — sleeve length and waist cinchers are all confirmed on your digital mockup before production begins. Added features like embroidered logos and fur trim are each quoted incrementally so you know exactly what you're paying for.

Functionality

A parka jacket can be designed according to the functionality you require. Need custom parka jackets for sports teams? Design them like custom varsity jackets with team logos and initials. Your logo is digitized once and embroidered identically across every parka in the batch, with each piece cut to the individual wearer's size. For more embroidery inspiration, browse our custom embroidery options. For skiing or hiking, get them made in nylon fabric with a durable water repellent finish, vents and adequate insulation.

Perfectly Tailored Parka Jackets

Each custom parka is built to your own measurements — not a standard size chart. Petite, plus size, regular and big and tall are all covered. Length, sleeve, waist and cincher adjustments give real comfort to every wearer. Your best bet is made-to-order parka jackets, which are stitched according to your specific measurements and dimensions.

Reliable Custom Service

Custom parka jackets start at $295. The main price driver is the shell material — leather sits at the top of the range, with technical fabrics like polyester and nylon in the mid-range. Insulation grade, fur trim, embroidered logos and removable lining are each added incrementally. Whether you order custom parkas or custom windbreakers, no minimum order quantity and free worldwide shipping are added bonuses that give you significant value for the price you pay.

The Custom Leather Varsity — A Leather House Original

The majority of the letterman shops are using wool and vinyl. The custom leather varsity jacket is made with a real cowhide leather sleeve and body. For our full range of leather outerwear, browse our leather jacket mens collection. There's nothing standard or common....

Custom Varsity Jackets for Men

Imagine the men's varsity as a blank canvas that is built around him. Choose a classic Melton wool body, leather sleeves, a full leather varsity for a more aggressive style or a club logo stitched across the back.

Custom Varsity Jackets for Women

Women's varsity jackets are given their own style and appearance. Crops, satin lined pastel shade or monogram on the chest are good options to try. For more women's leather outerwear beyond the varsity, explore our leather jacket women collection. Perfect for coordinating outfits for a team, sorority or an occasion.

Why Order a Custom Varsity Instead of Off the Rack

A varsity jacket is similar to your own personal record. Whether you're using a stock jacket off a rack or a custom-made one, your letters, class year patch and school colors tell your tale. For a different custom base, our custom denim jackets offer the same personalization in a casual denim build.

With our custom-built varsity jacket designs, you design your own varsity jacket from the body, sleeves, letters to lining.

Until you give the final look a yes, nothing gets into production. This type of control is what differentiates a custom jacket from a store bought one.

Each and every detail is a reflection of you and not anyone else. Just the same skill and care for our custom leather jackets now translated to the varsity style with melton wool bodies, leather sleeve options and quality materials throughout.

School, Team & Club Varsity Jackets

We offer custom varsity jackets for teams that are available in various colors. Custom varsity jackets can be made to match your school, sports team, fraternity, sorority or club. They promote school and team spirit during events and competitions.

There is no minimum order. One jacket or for the whole team, we treat both the same way. Team orders receive a quote within 1 business day and one consultant will be responsible for the order from the sketch to delivery.

Looking for personalized names, numbers, or mascot artwork throughout the group? View all custom embroidery options for names and mascots. The jackets serve as walking advertisements, increasing visibility for teams. Eventually, custom varsity jackets become treasured keepsakes after people graduate.

How Ordering Works

There are four steps to order a custom letterman jacket.

  1. Complete the form using your school or team's colors, lettering, and artwork. JPG, PNG, PDF or AI is fine; even a picture of an old jacket will do.
  2. You will receive a quote and a digital mockup to see your colors, letter placement and patches.
  3. We make your custom varsity jacket. It usually takes 10–15 days to produce.
  4. Final photos are approved prior to shipping (USA shipping is free).

You don't have to pay anything prior to the mockup, making sure that what you receive is always exactly what you requested.

Pricing & Turnaround

The price of a custom varsity jacket starts at $255. The price varies slightly with a few changes. Most important is the type of sleeve material; leather sleeves or a leather body are the top-of-the-line options. The number of patches or letters and additional lining are also factors.

Standard production is 10 to 15 business days and could be reduced to 5 to 7 business days if your event date requires rush production. Bulk and team orders are quoted for the group rather than per jacket, so your school or club will receive pricing based on the total order quantity.

Classic Varsity Color Combinations to Start From

Not sure where to start? These are some color combinations that will never go out of fashion. Black and white create a classic, clean look, while black and yellow make a bold statement.

Bright blue and yellow deliver a collegiate feel. White and red offer a retro baseball-inspired style, while navy and cream provide a more understated appearance. Green and gold create a traditional varsity finish. These are just a few suggestions—we can make your custom varsity jacket in any colors that represent your school or team.

Varsity, Letterman, or Varsity Bomber?

Varsity and letterman jackets are really the same garment. The letterman designation refers only to the letter earned, which is traditionally placed on the chest.

The varsity bomber jacket is a little unique. It combines the old-school varsity body with the ribbed cuffs, collar and hem of a flight jacket for a more contemporary look.

Do you prefer that flight look with ribbed detailing? Take a look at our custom bomber jackets.

Caring for Your Varsity Jacket

Spot clean the wool body and store your varsity jacket on a padded hanger, away from direct sunlight. Do not machine wash it. Leather sleeves should be conditioned with a quality leather conditioner every couple of months to keep them soft and help prevent cracking.

Avoid rubbing varsity jackets with chenille letters against rough surfaces or sharp zippers, as the lettering may fray. When not in use, store your jacket in a breathable cloth garment bag rather than a plastic bag.

How Ordering Works

  1. Order with your climate, style, size, and any artwork or logo (JPG, PNG, PDF, or AI) and any fit or function requirements.
  2. Secondly, there is a consultant who returns a quote and a mock-up for your approval. You can see the made-to-order parka before it is made.
  3. Third, we make your custom winter parka to your precise dimensions and usually deliver within 4-6 weeks based on the complexity.
  4. Fourth, you see pictures of the completed jacket before we ship it to you with free U.S. shipping. There's no charge until you sign the mockup, so each and everything from the initial design to the final print remains in your hands.

Pricing & Turnaround

Most custom parka jackets range in price starting from $295. The price increases depending on the complexity of the design, features and fabric used.

The most expensive factor is the shell material. Leather is at the top of the range, and technical fabrics such as polyester or nylon are in the mid-range. They provide great value for day-to-day wear.

The other factors of the final quote are added incrementally, such as insulation grade, fur trim, embroidered logos and removable lining.

Turnaround is 4-6 weeks from approved mockup to finished product. We give you a clear estimate before the production of your piece begins.

Custom Team & Company Parkas

Outdoor crews, ski teams, businesses, and event staff know that custom team parkas will provide them with warmth in cold weather without compromising on fit.

You will receive your custom parka with the logo digitized once and then embroidered on every parka in a batch so that it looks exactly the same.

There is no minimum order quantity. One consultant handles the entire batch from beginning to end and gets production started promptly within one business day.

Teams wanting a lighter classic can also order custom varsity jackets. This makes it an easy, stable branding strategy to keep any brand, team, or company making a splash during the winter months.

Choosing Shell & Insulation for Your Climate

If your winter season is cold but low in moisture, down insulation provides the most warmth per pound.

For wet conditions, synthetic insulation such as Thinsulate or Primaloft provides better heat retention, even when damp, unlike natural down fill.

For milder weather, see our custom windbreakers.

A waterproof and breathable shell in Gore-Tex or DWR-treated nylon for rain and heavy snow is essential.

The leather shell provides durability that is ideal for dry and cold climates, and a style that will outlast almost any technical fabric.

If the climate changes during the season, a removable lining will allow one parka to be used in different conditions.

Made to Measure, Every Size

Each custom parka is customized using your own measurements, not a standard size chart for petite, plus size, regular, and big and tall.

Length, sleeve, and waist, according to your body measurements and cincher adjustments, give real comfort to the wearer. So, each wearer receives a piece that is sized and designed according to their exact specifications and dimensions.

Before ordering, learn how to take your measurements and also check out the same inclusive sizing with our plus size outerwear.

Caring for Your Custom Parka

Generally, technical shells can be washed in the washing machine on a gentle cycle, using a mild detergent.

However, leather shells must be conditioned regularly and not machine-washed. Washing should be followed by drying with a tennis-ball tumble to restore loft to down insulation.

A soft brush between wears, and storing your parka in a breathable garment bag during the off-season are the best practices for fur trim.

Custom Cowboy Boot FAQs

How Much Do Custom Leather Cowboy Boots Cost?

Custom leather cowboy boots start at $295, including shipping. The final quote reflects your approved design, with pricing influenced by leather selection, decorative details, sole construction, and other custom features.

How Do You Get My Exact Size — What Measurements Do I Send?

We ask for measurements from both feet, including length, width, instep, and calf circumference. If anything appears unclear or inconsistent, our consultant contacts you before production to review the measurements and avoid unnecessary delays.

How Long Do Custom Boots Take To Make?

Most custom cowboy boots take 2–3 weeks to complete after you approve the design mockup. Production begins only after we receive your confirmation, allowing our leatherworkers to build each pair to your approved specifications.

What If The Fit Isn't Right When They Arrive?

If the fit isn't right, we will replace your boots. Reach out to our team after delivery, and we will review the issue with you before arranging a replacement that reflects your confirmed measurements.

Can I Get Custom Stitching, Initials, Or Embroidery On The Shaft?

Yes. We can incorporate decorative shaft stitching, initials, monograms, and embroidered artwork into your design. Sometimes, customers also submit reference photos or sketches, which allow our consultant to review the details before starting production.

What Leather Do You Use — Is It Full-Grain?

Yes. We build our boots with full-grain cowhide as our standard leather because it retains the natural grain and develops character with wear. We also offer lambskin and goatskin for designs that call for a different look or finish.
